Natural birth Classes
COMMUNITY BIRTH CLASS
FOR BIRTH CENTER AND HOME BIRTH FAMILIES
This class is designed for families planning to birth at home or at a freestanding birth center. This 6 week series was co-designed by local midwives and covers everything you and your partner needs to know to have a healthy pregnancy, positive birthing experience, and smooth transition into parenthood. Families choosing to birth in a Birth Center or at home are choosing a minimal or very low intervention setting for their births. This class is tailored to this philosophy and will include everything you need to be prepared for your out of hospital birth.
NATURAL BIRTH CLASS
Families choose a natural birth to minimize risk to the mother and baby, because they would like minimal interventions and procedures done during their birth, or because they believe birth is a normal, healthy part of life. Eighty percent of families who take my class have a natural birth, and over ninety percent have a vaginal birth. This class is designed to help modern parents achieve a natural birth.
What if you might want to use medications labor? What if you need a cesarean birth? Your wants and needs in birth are unique to you. It is my job to help you have an amazing birth no matter what it looks like. We cover comfort measures to use before and with an epidural, and we put together a birth plan for a gentle cesarean birth. This is a non-judgmental space for you to explore your options.
This 8 week series is designed for hospital, birth center, and home birth families (if Community Birth Class is not convenient or full). All classes includes Birth Chemistry and Evidence Based Birth curriculum.
Private Natural Birth Classes are $300 for 6 sessions or $400 for 8 sessions, you can register here for private classes and I will send you a list of available dates. Private classes can be held in your home, or my Salinas or Monterey classrooms if available.

Hello! I offer comprehensive natural childbirth courses, birth doula and concierge maternity services, and private consulting as a certified natural childbirth educator, Evidence Based Birth Instructor, and toLabor birth doula and activist in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties.
My husband, Eric, and I were both born and raised in Monterey County and have settled in the Salinas Valley to raise their four little boys: Milo (8), Ash (7), Indy (5), and Everett (3).
My four births have been very different. I have birthed at 38 weeks and after 42 weeks, at three different local hospitals and at home, with doctors and midwives, medicated and natural. My births have taught me that the decisions one makes in childbirth are personal and unique to them. I believe parents deserve to learn their options from an objective resource, and receive compassionate support throughout that process.
Advocating for options and safety in childbirth is something live daily. I am a toLabor trained birth doula and birth activist, and as an Evidence Based Birth Instructor I am able to offer trainings to obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and other doulas in the community in addition to working with expecting families. I have served as the President of the Birth Network of Monterey County, Co-Coordinator for ImprovingBirth Monterey County, the ImprovingBirthBoard of Directors, and as Co-Leader of the International Cesarean Awareness Networks (ICAN) of Monterey County. I love sharing may passion and knowledge with parents who desire a positive birthing experience.
